MessageCast被收购

MessageCast提供很好的Alert服务，可以把blog的内容更新发送至MSN Alerts让读者使用MSN Messenger、Hotmail或者是手机来接手收，我的blog也一直在使用这项服务。今天早上从MessageCast收到一封邮件：

Dear Liang Wang,

We have an important announcement: MessageCast has been acquired. As part of the transition, we need to have you review new licensing terms. Our service will be temporarily disabled in preparation for this. A follow-up email will be sent shortly which will allow you to re-enable alerts. Thank you for your continued support!

后来读了eWeek的文章，才知道收购者原来就是MSN。现在MessageCast.net的域名已经直接指向了MSN Alerts，而MessageCast的Alert服务也被全盘照搬了过来，继续免费由MSN提供。用原来的邮箱重新注册，显示资料已经在数据库中。看来，原来LiveMessage的用户也已经被转移到MSN了。

虽然服务还没有正式开通，不过如果你的blog还没有使用LiveMessage，还是可以先注册一下，个人感觉这还是一项非常有用服务。

优秀的blog相关服务最终都逃不出落入大玩家手里的命运。对blog来说，是好事是坏事，都是改变不了的事。
