Google正式发布Picasa 2

Google Picasa 2
Google刚刚正式发布了图片管理软件Picasa 2。自从去年7月Google收购Picasa就越来越受人瞩目，以至于有人猜测Google将收购Flickr.com并和Picasa 2结合成为最强大的图片管理方案。到目前为止，这个猜测还没有任何变成现实的迹象，不过这次推出的新版Picasa功能还是非常的抢眼。

Picasa 2加入了和Gmail里面类似的Label和Star功能，使我们可以方便的按照标签或者星级来浏览照片，不再受目录的约束。发送邮件功能中除了支持Hello账户以及桌面邮件程序外，还直接集成了Gmail，你可以在Picasa 2里直接登陆Gmail并用它来发送照片。还有一项功能也潜力无穷，Picasa 2可以把一组图片(包括目录、Label、Star)输出为一个完整的网页输出到指定目录，而且还支持XML 格式。另外，Picasa 2也与时俱进创建了一个blog来发布最新的消息。

不过，这个版本的Picasa还是没有办法支持中文的目录和文件名，实在是令人遗憾。

Newsgator和FeedDemon

NewsGator 将在今天收购老牌的RSS桌面阅读器， FeedDemon 的创作者 Bradbury Software 。RSS阅读盛行，大部分的互联网大牌公司都已经在RSS阅读器上进行了规模不等的投入， Yahoo 、 Ask/Bloglines/IAC 、 Microsoft 各有特色，但其抢占市场的实力都不容小觎。像Newsgator这样规模有限的公司，要继续保持已经获得的成绩，除了技术上的创新，进行横向的合作和合并也是非常重要的途径。 (Via Micro Persuasion ) 但是小公司还面临着另一个问题，缺乏资本运作和企业文化融合的经验，在合作的时候所遇到的困难比一个大公司收购小公司要大得多。在前段时间，Newsgator和看天下的合作似乎就还没有并没有给双方带来什么实际上的好处。 Newsgator和FeedDemon都是非常优秀的产品，希望他们的合作能去取得成功。
